What we collect

Through the form on this site: your first name, phone number, postal code, and the water supply you select (city water or well). Nothing else is required.

If you send us photos of your main water line, we keep those photos with your file.

Our servers also log, on each form submission, your device's IP address and the page the submission came from. That data is used only for site security and to limit automated submissions; it is kept for 30 days, then deleted.

If you accept audience-measurement cookies, our analytics provider collects site usage data. If you decline or do not answer, no measurement cookie is set.

Why we collect it

For one purpose: to prepare your quote, send it to you, and arrange the installation with the licensed contractor.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.

Who else sees it

Your name, phone number and the installation address go to the RBQ-licensed contractor who will do the work, because the installation contract is with them.

Our technology providers (site hosting, messaging platform) process this information on our behalf, under contract, and may not use it for their own purposes.

Some of those providers host data outside Québec. We only use providers subject to a comparable protection regime.

Text messages (SMS)

When you check the consent box on the quote form or text us first, you agree to receive text messages from Eau Nette (9566-0866 Québec inc.) about your quote, appointments and installation. Frequency: up to 6 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP; reply HELP for help, or email info@eaunette.ca.

No sharing: your mobile phone number and your SMS consent are never sold, rented or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. They are passed only to our messaging service providers, solely to deliver these messages.

Retention and destruction

Quote-request information is kept for 3 years from the last contact, then destroyed. Files tied to a completed installation are kept as long as tax law and the warranty require.

Your rights

You have the right to access the information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is inaccurate, to ask for its deletion, and to withdraw your consent at any time.

You can also ask to stop receiving our messages: reply STOP to a text, or write to us.

We answer within 30 days. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Security and incidents

Access to files is limited to the people who need it. If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the people concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information, and we keep the register the law requires.
