Who contracts with whom

Eau Nette is a brand of 9566-0866 Québec inc. (NEQ 1182080128), 3550, rue Isidore, Laval (Québec) H7P 1Z9. You can reach us at 438 900-4294 or info@eaunette.ca. Eau Nette takes your request, prepares the quote and coordinates the installation.

The installation work is performed by a contractor holding a Régie du bâtiment du Québec licence, sub-category 15.5 (plumbing). The installation contract is with that contractor, whose name and licence number appear on your work order.

All-inclusive price

The prices posted on this site — $3,299, $2,499 and $899 — include the equipment, delivery, installation, commissioning and the labour warranty described below. Only GST and QST are added.

An installation can call for work outside the norm (moving a main water line, adding a drain or an electrical outlet, coring a slab). If so, the cost is given to you in writing before the work and you are free to decline.

Distance contract

A quote accepted by text, email or phone is a distance contract under Québec's Consumer Protection Act.

Before you accept, we give you in writing: our name, address and telephone number, the description of the system, the total price, the taxes, and the installation date and place.

You receive a copy of the contract within 15 days of it being made.

Cancellation — our policy

You may cancel, free of charge and without reason, within 10 days of receiving your copy of the contract. That is our commitment, and it goes further than the law requires.

To cancel, write to info@eaunette.ca or notify us by any means that proves the notice was sent. We refund you within 15 days.

After installation, equipment can be taken back if it is intact and in its original packaging; labour already performed remains payable.

Cancellation — what the law provides

Québec's Consumer Protection Act also gives you the right to resolve a distance contract within 7 days of receiving your copy, in the cases set out in its section 54.8: if we did not disclose to you, before the contract was made, all of the information required by section 54.4; if we did not give you the opportunity to accept, decline or correct your order; or if the contract does not meet the requirements of the Act.

That period becomes 30 days if we do not send you a copy of the contract within the time the Act allows.

This is not a general right to cancel without reason: that right comes from our own 10-day policy described above.

Warranties

Installation labour is warranted for 12 months by the licensed contractor.

The equipment is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, whose terms come to you with the quote.

These warranties add to the legal warranty under Québec's Consumer Protection Act; they do not replace it.

What we do not promise

A filtration system improves water quality; it is not a medical device and we advertise no health effect.

The public figures cited on this site come from the sources named next to each one. They describe a network, not your house. Only a water test describes your water.

On well water, no recommendation is given before a water test.

Care plan

The $179-a-year care plan is optional. It covers replacement cartridges and their delivery. You can cancel it at any time for the period ahead.

SMS messaging program

1. Description: Eau Nette (9566-0866 Québec inc.) sends text messages to deliver quotes, confirm and remind you of installation appointments, answer questions and follow up after installation.

2. Consent: you opt in by checking the box on the quote form at eaunette.ca or by texting us first.

3. Frequency: up to 6 messages per month.

4. Cost: message and data rates may apply depending on your plan.

5. Opt-out: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them; you will receive one final confirmation message.

6. Help: reply HELP, email info@eaunette.ca, or call 438 900-4294.

7. Carriers: mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

8. Age: you must be 18 or older to opt in.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Québec. The courts of the judicial district of Laval have jurisdiction.
